DeepL is a German translation service that analyzes your texts thoroughly to provide you with accurate language translations.
Most computer-generated translations are full of errors since many words depend on their context. Sometimes, a word can have two meanings when translated into another language and very few computer translators can tell which one is the right one.
DeepL uses neural networks to analyze texts. Oftentimes referred to as “artificial intelligence,” neural networks solve problems based on the predefined patterns. DeepL’s neural network is fed with correct existing translations, which are then used to deduce how new texts are to be translated. With this, the app translates your words better than its competitors, such as Google Translate and Microsoft’s Bing Microsoft Translator. However, while DeepL’s translations are more accurate, the number of languages it can translate your words into are fewer. It only supports nine languages, whereas Google Translate can translate more than 100 languages.
